All through Elementary school my favorite subject was art. I would go to art class and never want to leave. School to me was never about the A+ on my English paper or the 10/10 on my Spelling test, it was all about each new piece of artwork that I created and got to hand to daddy as he examined it and hung it on the fridge. Those were special moments for me, always. See, my dad is an architect. He grew up drawing and play sports. Then continued that into college and went through the art program as well as the football team. He graduated with his degree in Architecture and set out for a beautiful life. Once my sister and I came around, art was everywhere to us. My parents bought us new paints, new brushes, new sets of pencils and paper, and each time we would be as creative as possible and just make art. As we grew older, and closer, my sister and I decided to take every (or almost) art class available in high school. In particularly, we both dove right into Photography. I took Drawing as well, just to touch up on skill, but my love for Photography put me over the edge. This, this is what I wanted to do. I want to teach. I want to create. I spent majority of my childhood on the practice field when I wasn't making art, so as I grew a love for the sport of soccer, I also wanted to coach. Coaching and teaching go hand in hand. While art and soccer may be completely different, the fusion of the two in my life well-rounded me. The coaching and teaching plans head me into the best direction possible. Art education and coaching soccer on the side or one day at a high school I would like to work at. These two goals in life keep me driven everyday to complete my tasks on time and of good quality. As an artist, I plan to make as much art as I possibly can, and work to my fullest potential.
