simple distraction
The concept of “doodling” has always been a favorite of mine growing up. I’ve used this technique to display the distraction that artists use to get out of homework, paying attention in class, and so on. But more importantly, this simple distraction is from the broken pieces of love. It occupies the mind when it begins to wander to a deep darkness. Each piece of line work is put together neatly and as tight as possible, with hidden symbols intertwined. Placing all four pieces on the black paper to cohesively add to the darkness that lies beneath or after the distraction is completed.
